Back in December, we filmed Sarah and Clint’s wedding at The Greenery in Amite. You may remember seeing that video we posted! Well at that wedding, one of Sarah’s bridesmaids, Ashley caught the bouquet. While that’s an old wives tale for who will be married next, it’s not so much fiction for Ashley.
Remembering us from Sarah and Clint’s wedding, Ashley’s boyfriend of 4 years, Cody, got in touch with us about photographing his proposal to Ashley. He told us his elaborate plan and that he wanted us to be able to capture it. We were so excited- and rightfully so!
This proposal was full of laughter, tears, and popping champagne bottles. Cody took Ashley on a literal walk down memory lane on the Mandeville Lakefront. He lined the sidewalk with handmade easels that held photographs of the two of them together over the years.
The music played in the background while they walked along the candlelit path and underneath a beautiful oak tree where all their friends and family were waiting. Cody and Ashley danced until the end of the song, and then he got down on one knee and popped the question! Their friends and family then greeted them with hugs, oohs and ahhs, and champagne to toast to a wonderful evening. Getting to be a part of this beautiful moment was most definitely the highlight of our weekend. Congrats Cody and Ashley!
